About Honorary Consulate-General

Honorary Consuls are not career diplomats. They are individuals who live in their home country but represent a foreign country there.

The main role of Honorary Consuls is to enhance bi-lateral relations between countries in the areas of trade, education, culture, economy.

They work with business organizations to foster better investment opportunities, and represent their country at diplomatic and other events.

Honorary Consuls support the work of the Embassy.

They do not issue visas or motorize documents.
